Students also applied the concepts of perimeter and area to real-world problem-solving tasks. They shared with their grade 2 buddies how they would plan the schoolyard and create a naturalized / play area with thoughtful garden design plans for an undeveloped area of the schoolyard. This showed environmental awareness, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
In Science, students explored the digestive system, learning about its structure and function. They worked in small groups to plan and create stop‑motion videos, strengthening their collaboration, creativity, and communication skills while demonstrating their scientific understanding.
In Social Studies and Citizenship, students took part in a Land Acknowledgment activity with their Grade 2 buddies, building community connections and respect for Indigenous perspectives.
