  • Created one-point perspective name art
  • Practiced art critique skills

🔬 Science

  • Reviewed major digestive system organs
  • Reviewed circulatory system (parts and functions)
  • Learned respiratory system components
  • Focus on:
    • Purpose of each body system
    • How systems work together to transport nutrients and oxygen
  • Preparing for a “Show What You Know” assessment next week

🌍 Social Studies

  • Continued study of ancient civilizations
  • Focus on:
    • Major trade routes (Silk Road, Royal Road)
    • Goods traded between civilizations
  • Learning about:
    • How trade supported civilization growth
  • Will be reviewed and assessed soon next week

Math

  • Spent about a month on:
    • Fractions
    • Order of operations
  • Completed a “Show What You Know” assessment (coming home next week)
  • Next topic:
    • Intro to algebra
    • Understanding variables and coefficients

🏫 Classroom Expectations

  • Maintaining high expectations as the year ends
  • Reinforcing:
    • Good manners
    • Learning behaviors
    • Wearing indoor and outdoor shoes
    • Showing leadership, especially for younger students
