π What We’re Learning
- Mathematics: Students are exploring algebra and building their understanding of key terms such as coefficient, constant, variable, factor, and expression. Ask your child to explain what these terms mean!
- Science: We have completed our unit on the muscular and skeletal systems, learning how they work together to support movement and structure in the body.
- Social Studies: We are beginning an exciting unit on ancient civilizations, focusing on how and why civilizations declined.
- Writing: Students are continuing to develop their poetry anthologies, which they will share with others.
- Physical Education: Students have wrapped up a gymnastics unit.
- The Arts: This week, students explored graffiti art using oil pastels and will continue engaging in a variety of creative art projects.
- Nose Creek Visit! - The choir and band came to share. It was a blast from the past!
π Upcoming Events & Reminders
- Tie-Dye Day (mid-June): Please send a white shirt if you haven’t already (see previous email for details).
- Expert Stations: Students will be sharing their learning with peers next week—be sure to ask your child what they are preparing!
